Man, it all started about 4 years ago at this point.

Me and my girlfriend at the time were drawing portraits of each other, keep in mind she was incredibly talented, and I had no artistic ability at all. We had just finished drawing each other, when one of her family members came in and praised her amazing artwork. At that same time, they called my artwork “abstract”, this was heart shattering. Was I really abstract? Or was I just someone who had never really practiced art?

Since that day I have taken the path of an artist and began practicing as much as I could. It has been about 4 years and close to 20 sketchbooks. Over the last 2 years I have spent most of my time beginning to focus on portraiture.

The rainbow pencil came as a gift from my lovely sister (Shoutout to Megan). She works in a school, and is constantly around kids. One day she handed me the pencil and told me it was from a goody bag. That one small moment changed my life forever.

The rest is history.
